So this is how I spent my 26th birthday. I had a birthday surprise on the night before; I came out of the shower to my husband and Zoe standing with the cake in the pitch dark house. Never mind that it was only 10pm and not at the stroke of midnight because Zoe had to sleep, I felt so loved that night and thankful that I will be spending my future birthdays like that  - basking in the love of my family.  We had a mini party with cake and birthday banner that turned out to be my birthday card (long message written at the back of the 10 alphabets of H-A-P-P-Y B-I-R-T-H-D-A-Y, husband stopped at "H" as that is the best he can do, hahaha). The next day, we took leave from work and rented a car to spend the day running errands at some inaccessible place, and then eating waffles at Wimbly Lu (I didn't know it was that good!), and back to Glory Catering for more of the delicious and cheap Peranakan food. It was simple but fun, and I couldn't have ask for a more splendid day :)
